How does it work?
Mechanism of action of DHT Blocker
Hormonal hair loss is linked to a hormone, the DHT (dihydrotestosterone), synthesized by the enzyme 5α-reductase from testosterone. When in excess, DHT causes a miniaturization of hair follicles, shortens the growth phase (anagen) and extends the rest phase (telogen). This results in a progressive hair loss.
Le DHT Blocker will come inhibit 5α-reductase activity, thus preventing the synthesis of DHT and therefore hair loss induced by this hormone.
