Why is my hair growth slowing down?
In many women, hair does not grow optimally and reaches what is called a “growth plateau”. This growth plateau can be reached for 3 main reasons:
■ An unbalanced scalp: sebum, dandruff, invisible inflammation or sluggish microcirculation prevent the follicles from being properly oxygenated and nourished.
■ Tips that break faster than the roots grow → Result: no real “visible growth”.
■ A lack of key nutrients or a mild hormonal imbalance (especially post-pill, chronic stress, etc.)

Understanding the hair cycle
Hair growth follows a hair cycle made up of 3 main phases:
■ Anagen (growth) phase : hair grows actively, for 2 to 6 years. This is the longest phase.
■ Catagen phase (transition) : the hair stops growing, the follicle shrinks. This phase lasts about 2 to 3 weeks.
■ Telogen phase (shedding) : the hair dies and falls out, making way for new hair. This phase lasts 2 to 3 months.

At any given time, 85 to 90% of your hair is in the growth phase. But in cases of stress, hormonal imbalance, or deficiency, this cycle can become disrupted... leading to hair loss or slowed growth.

■ Restorative sleep: 7 to 8 hours per night, avoid screens in the evening
■ Stress management techniques: cardiac coherence, meditation, breathing
