In my work, I see women every week for whom hair loss is the most visible consequence of their treatment. It's not about vanity; it's about their self-image that's shaken. My Pink Bonnet addresses precisely this, with very practical solutions.

Why My Pink Hat?

The association was created in 2018 by Maureen Govart, herself a former cancer patient, after her own experience with breast cancer. Its primary mission is to collect chemotherapy caps and wigs, then redistribute them to women who cannot afford them — these accessories being expensive and receiving very little reimbursement.

The association has since expanding its action: reception and supportive care in La House, near Lille, and at La Maison Sea at Wissant, challenges of awareness of screening, and solidarity shop to equip at lower cost women in the early stages of You also have a right to erase your personal data.

This choice is no coincidence for a dermo-hair laboratory: the association acts exactly where our profession meets disease — on what hair loss does to self-image.

Our other actions in October

The donation is just one part of what we are putting in place this month:

Verified review

My temples were becoming increasingly thin, and it was really bothering me. I started the anti-hair loss protocol, and honestly, the results are amazing... I'm seeing lots of regrowth at my temples, and my hairline looks much fuller now. I'm sharing my before and after photos because I can't believe it myself.

Taking care of your scalp during and after treatment

During treatment, a weakened scalp requires gentleness rather than effectiveness: a pH 5 wash to preserve the skin barrier, and no mechanical action — no scrubbing, no heavy brushing, no microneedling — while the skin is sensitive.

After treatment ends, hair regrowth follows the pattern of reactive shedding : the follicles have been put on hold, not destroyed, and they gradually restart. The goal is no longer to slow down this process, but to support regrowth—by improving scalp microcirculation, providing cofactors for keratin synthesis, and allowing time for the full hair growth cycle. Any routine should be discussed beforehand with the healthcare team.

F.A.Q

How to participate in MakeMyMask's Pink October campaign?
No action is required. Any order placed on makemymask.co between October 1st and 31st, 2026 automatically triggers a €1 donation to Mon Bonnet Rose, regardless of its value.
What is the Mon Bonnet Rose association?
Created in 2018 by Maureen Govart, a former cancer patient, the association collects chemotherapy caps and wigs to redistribute to women in financial difficulty, and supports patients in its two Houses, near Lille and in Wissant.
Can hair care prevent hair loss during chemotherapy?
No. This hair loss is related to the treatment itself and its management falls within the medical field. Appropriate care provides comfort to a scalp that has become sensitive, but does not address the hair loss.
What treatments should be used on a scalp sensitized by a treatment?
Gentle, pH-balanced formulas, free from harsh ingredients, and no mechanical manipulation while skin is sensitive. In all cases, speak to your healthcare team before introducing any new product.
Where can you find MakeMyMask during Breast Cancer Awareness Month?
During the advice days organized in our partner pharmacies, at Cocon du Lac in Annecy, and on the VERSARUN running events organized every Saturday in October in Versailles, Paris and other partner cities.
